How many dogs are walked at one time?

The maximum number of dogs walked at one time is 4. Should you prefer your dog to be walked alone this can be organised but an additional charge will apply - contact WAGS to discuss.

How do you arrange picking up and dropping off?

WAGS allows 45 minutes between each walk to coordinate pick up and drop offs. We prefer to walk dogs between pick up and drop off points but where necessary your dog will be transported in an air conditioned dog-friendly vehicle. If you are not home at pick up or drop off time we will need to hold copies of your house keys which will be held by WAGS in a safe with address details stored separately to maintain the highest level of security possible.

What do you do in the event of an emergency?

As part of the meet & greet process we will record emergency contact details for all dog owners so the initial call will be to the owner appraising of the situation and requesting instruction. In the event the owner cannot be reached and medical assistance is required, we will escort the dog to its preferred veterinary surgery or the nearest surgery dependent on the severity of the incident.

Are you insured and what is the cover?

WAGS is insured for dog walking, pet sitting, pet care and transferring pets in a vehicle. Cover includes care and custody of your pet, care and custody of keys/alarm codes in the event these are provided to WAGS to collect and/or drop off your pet. The policy also covers public liability and personal accident in relation to your dog walker. Cover excludes dogs classified in the Dangerous Dog Act 1991 which for clarity are: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brasiliero. WAGS cannot therefore take on any care role for these breeds.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask the you advise us at least 24 hours  prior to a walk if you need to cancel. If you are able to do this, there will be no charge. Any cancellation made within the 24 hours prior to the walk will incur the full charge.

How does payment work?

We ask that payment is made in advance of each walk and we recommend this is done by setting up a direct debit/standing order to the WAGS Bank Account. We regret that if payment is not received prior to a walk we will be unable to complete the work and we will advise you if this is the case 24 hours prior to the walk.

What areas do you cover?

We restrict our cover to a smaller area to avoid long journeys for the dogs. We currently cover Stockwell, Nine Elms and Clapham but if you are outside of this area we are happy to recommend an alternative walker.

Do you do out of hours walks (evenings & weekends)?

WAGS tries to be flexible to your needs so we would try to accommodate your requests for out of hours walks or visits. In the event we are unable to assist we will provide a recommendation for alternative cover.

How do I keep track of how the walks are going?

We are happy to provide "Pup-dates" following a walk or visit. These can be sent via text, email or in a doggy diary which we will leave at your home.

What happens if my walker is unwell or on holiday?

Holiday cover will be coordinated well in advance and you will get the opportunity to meet the replacement walker before cover is needed. In the event your walker is unwell, with your permission, we will liaise with other walkers in the local area to provide adequate cover.

What do I need to provide for use on the walk?

For the comfort of your pet, WAGS will use the lead and collar that you provide. The walker will use training treats to assist with the control of your dog and therefore should there be a specific treat you want us to use, this will need to be provided. WAGS has a plentiful supply of poo bags so no need to supply these.
